Mental Tidying & Storing up Positivity

Treat your mental-emotional space like your home dwelling: do fall cleaning.

  • Thought patterns that don't fit anymore need to be culled

  • Behavioral habits you don't want to keep need to be swapped

  • Situations you are not stoked about need to be altered

  • &,

  • Positive alternatives need to be stocked up for the winter season

Where can you find the motivation to undertake these endeavors?

  • Self care: you feel best when you choose wellness and satisfaction

  • Self respect: you value yourself enough to show it in actions

  • Self esteem: you believe the truth -- you belong in a beautiful life

  • Self empowerment: you know you are the one to stand up for it

How can you get started?

  • Repetition: thoughts and actions you've done for years take time and practice to undo and replace with more helpful ones

  • Have patience!

  • Have fun renewing yourself

  • Be the loving friend you need

  • Creativity: engage your resources to step out of the mental realm and into creation space

  • Imagination: journal aspects of your ideal reality, why it's meaningful to experience, and commit to actions in that direction

  • Play: prioritize relaxation, play, pleasure, and rejuvenation between times of working and growing

  • hint -- it's go big AND go home

  • Body: take up space and really choose what you like and need, not what anyone else says

  • Body: Listen for your body's messages and follow them for rest, nourishment, movement, and interactions

  • hint -- less can often be more

  • Voice: write loving affirmations your Inner Child needs to hear and read (or sing) them aloud morning and night

  • Voice: listen to and sing heartsongs that light you up!

  • Artistic materials: make intuitive art that transmutes your feelings and displays hints from your Inner Wisdom

  • hint -- no drawing skills required; artsy words work too

  • Connection: be with friends who bolster you and are creating their own joyful life; also hold space for each other in struggly moments

  • Support: ask someone who loves helping others feel deeply happy about being themselves -- like me, for instance :)

You will have an easier, more empowered winter once you start a rhythm of filling your internal closet with as much joy and love as you can access.

Joy is one thing you want to continue collecting; in fact, hoard it!
